Background
- In 1988, Hillingdon Carers was established as a local project of the Carers National Association.
- In 1995, a stategic decision was taken by CNA for its london projects to be established as local independent charities.
- In May 1996, Hillingdon Carers was launched as a carer's organisation, run by carers, for carers. The orgainsation has now become a charitable company limited by guarantee.
- In May 2005, the Information & Advice Centre was opened for carers as a drop-in centre.
- On 18th May 2006, HRH The Princess Royal visited Hillingdon Carers May Forum and during that time officially opened the Information & Advice Centre.
